Quincy Members Promote Literacy, Education

Two SEIU 888 members, Karen McCarthy of the Quincy Paraprofessionals and Judie McNaught of the Quincy Cafeteria Workers, donate volunteer time to serve their community. The have formed a volunteer chapter with the charitable organization Altrusa International. Their recent projects include:

 A $500 scholarship for Quincy teen mothers.

 Easter gift baskets to expecting mothers in the community.

 Distribution of donated books in a project to encourage student reading.
