Senate Budget holds the line on State Employee Health Insurance
Senate President Therese Murray kept her promise to state employees. The Senate budget proposal released this week does not seek to increase the premium percentage that state employees pay for health insurance. The Senate budget maintains the current rate structure. Senate leadership was clear from day one that they had no intention of increasing state employee health insurance this year. Please take a moment
to email Senate President Murray and Senate Ways and Means Chairman Steve Panagiotakos to thank them for their leadership on this issue and to ask for their continued support throughout the remainder of the budget process.
Please check the SEIU 888 website regularly for updates on the budget as the process continues, or call Jim Redmond at (617) 241-3300 with any questions.
