2008 State Legislative Primary Results Are In!

The state primary election was held on Tuesday, September 16. SEIU 888 endorsed thirty seven (37) state legislative candidates prior to this election. Eleven (11) of our endorsed candidates had primary races. There were seven (7) victories and five (5) defeats.

SEIU 888 had volunteers on the ground in six (6) of the eleven (11) endorsed campaigns. Of the six campaigns that we were actively involved in, there were five (5) victories and only one (1) defeat.

One note worthy observation is that SEIU 888 member Mike Brady won his election by a margin of 13 votes – a clear illustration that every vote counts.
