Local 888 Ten Year Anniversary Celebration

April 29, 2013

Dear Local 888 member,

Ten years ago, Local 888 was founded as part of a statewide reorganization of SEIU locals to unite public service employees who do similar work in one union.

Today Local 888 represents 8,500 workers in more than 200 chapters across Massachusetts.  Over the last ten years, our members have worked hard to improve their conditions -- despite a very difficult economic environment.

On Saturday, June 22 we would like to celebrate our ten-year anniversary with a family barbecue and golf tournament in honor of the founding of our local.

All members and their families are invited to attend the free barbecue, with games and rides, face painting, cotton candy, popcorn and Snow Kone machines, along with a bouncy castle and obstacle course for the kids.

Golf starts at 8:00 AM and the BBQ starts at 12:00 PM. Please register by June 14, as space is limited.  More details about the golf tournament are below.

The celebration will be held at the Bay Pointe Country Club, 19 Bay Pointe Drive in Onset, Mass.  More information is on the enclosed registration form.  Please fill out and return the form to Local 888 by June 14.

Sincerely,

Mark DelloRusso             Brenda Rodrigues President                                 Secretary Treasurer
