Local 888 President Tom McKeever introduced District 3 candidate Matt Patton for Boston City Council (Frank Baker’s seat) at a recent fundraiser. Matt is a Massachusetts native and is a worker’s rights attorney in the city. “Local 888 is grateful to Matt Patton for his lifelong commitment to social justice and, specifically, his tireless work supporting 888 members of the Boston Public Schools that suffered severe trauma during school violence,” said President Tom McKeever. Under President McKeever’s leadership, Local 888 raised awareness about the horrific work environment in BPS through demonstrations and informing local media of the situation. He also worked with Keches Law Group to create a pathway for injured workers and enlisted Matt Patton to help workers into early retirement.
