Mass Department of Transportation (MassDOT) members are about to receive a long overdue wage increase.  Members will receive retro increases of 3% and 1.5% dating back to July, 2013.  Members will also get a lump sum bonus based on a percentage of their gross wages earned in the last six months of 2012 and first six months of 2013. The huge merger of state transportation divisions in 2009 made the bargaining process more complicated than usual. “It’s been a long time coming,” said Ed DiGiuseppe who has worked in the Medford sign shop for almost 14 years.  “It feels like we went back and forth and back and forth forever.  It took almost two years, so I’m glad we finally got it done!”
